Rambo

We apologize for the lack of commenting on our role in Rambo's freedom but until he was safe at his destination we felt it was best, considering his (unfortunate) high profile. We were pleased to have been asked to assist in his relocation and help him have this chance at a free, happy life out East.

Rambo was released from Animal Services, as reported, into our custody where he was neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. He's now landed safely in Nova Scotia and is settling into his foster home. We do realize that Rambo has spent much more than half of his life in a cage and has missed most of a normal dog's experiences and will need a lot of socialization to become the model citizen we know he can be. He's an incredible dog though and we're sure he's already on his way.

ADR would like to thank all of those who have supported his case and also like to express special thanks to the staff at Mississauga Animal Services who have cared for, and did a fantastic job of raising Rambo for the past 10 months. Their kindness to him really shows!

ADR has incurred quite an expense already for Rambo’s care and travel. If you’re able to give a little we would appreciate it greatly, to help the next pooch in need.

Here are a few photos of Rambo's journey, thus far.

Rambo, early morning before his flight. Saying goodbye to Ontario and ready to leave that muzzle behind.

Loaded up and ready to hitch a ride to Nova Scotia. It was tough to leave my friends

.

My arrival in Nova Scotia. What a long day. Strangers surround me but I was a good boy and very quiet, looking forward to my new adventure.

So this is Nova Scotia. I’m free. I can eat grass and play without a muzzle or fear. I’m already having fun.

Are you really going to let me stay here? I think I hit the jackpot!

Does that sign say “Welcome”? I’m actually welcomed here? WOW.

YEE HAW!!!! Do you think I’ll get to go to a kitchen party?

Oooh TOYS!!

Hmm...If only I could figure out how to use that ladder...
